Mantra (fourth path of yoga)

Mantras are used in yoga in order to sooth and harmonise the mind and the body.
Repetition of positive words can have a positive impact on the mind.
Mantra helps to focus the mind and develops sense withdrawl (pratyahara)
realising what is within us as we withdraw our senses to other distractions.

Mantra

Om sahanavavatu
Sahanau Bhunaktu
Saha vriyamkaravavahai
Tejasvinaadhitamastu
Ma vidvisavahai
Om sant, santi santi

Together may we be protected
Together may we be nourished
Together may we work with great energy
May our journey together be brilliant and effective
May there be no bad feelings between us
Peace, peace peace
