Lets find balance

Tips for beginners

Starting your yoga journey and stepping onto your mat for the first time can seem daunting. I am dedicated to give you the best experience on your first visit and aim to make you feel welcome, relaxed and happy.

As with anything new to us it can take a while to feel the benefits of practice and at times, we feel challenged. With patience and encouragement, I will help you to move forward and embrace every aspect of your practice as a positive step.

Prepare for class

So that you arrive feeling calm, please aim for at least 15 minutes before class starts. Its recommended that you refrain from eating at least 2 hours prior to practice but make sure that you are well hydrated with lots of H20.

Bring with you your yoga mat, (I have mats to hire £1) water bottle and a blanket or warm top and socks for savasana (relaxation)

Finally, please call me or catch me before class if there is anything that you wish to discuss.

Gentle flow

You guessed it from the name- this is a gentle practice where you will be encouraged to really be in the moment as you link breath to movement. The slower pace allows you to ‘feel’ your practice. Set your intention and flow to a beautiful soundtrack. You will float out of class ready to start your day, calm,
balanced and renewed. Ideal for you if you are just starting out on your yoga journey. A short, guided meditation will be included before savasana.

Energising flow

Designed to lift your energy levels with smooth flows, connecting to breath. Creating a little heat as you move through the sequences together with an uplifting soundtrack, will leave you feeling strong, accomplished and renewed.

Strong flow

This vinyasa flow will be fast moving at times, creating tapas (heat) and often challenging with the added benefit of a cardio workout. Not only will this class help you build strength over time but also flexibility.

The mind body connection is strong as we tap into the breath to bring energy to our flow.

Recommended for those who have some yoga practice experience.

Children’s and teen’s classes

Workshops for children and teenagers can be booked through schools and colleges.

The workshops are age appropriate, fun, dynamic with an emphasis on positive body image. Workshops are an ideal way to give an insight into yoga and children can learn how regular yoga can benefit their lives. Whether it be by complimenting sports that they do already or using it as a tool to aid relaxation,
especially during exam time.

Please contact me to discuss your requirements.

Corporate classes or workshops

Staff wellbeing is high on the agenda- finding ways to promote health and wellbeing adds to productivity in the workplace and happy staff!

I offer early bird classes at your workplace before the working day begins (non-sweaty classes!) designed to wake you up and prepare you for the day ahead.
If you would like to include some yoga or mediation in a staff wellbeing day, I can tailor sessions to meet your requirements.
